以 SQL Server ２008 供给的受信賴、无效用的聪明型資料平台為基礎建置而成的
SQL Server ２008 R２，供给眾多新的改進效用，可幫助貴組織担忧地調整資料庫作

伺服器筹画、複雜变乱處理、主要資料服務和使用者報告等方面的新效用和增強功
能。

SQL Server ２008 R２中新增了 SQL Server PowerPivot for Excel 與 PowerPivot
for SharePoint Server ２0一0。PowerPivot 為一新的 BI 技術， 透過上述兩項功
能可讓使用者以理解的 Excel 及 SharePoint Server 器械從任何來源萃取資訊，
同時 IT 人員也可偵測及筹画使用者所创立的 BI 解決筹划。

微軟引用 IDC 的預測指出，資料庫市場將從 ２008 年的 ２４0 億美元成長到２0一3年
的3２0億，成長率為33.４%；同時微軟 SQL Serve 的市佔率亦已逾越IBM及甲骨文。

除了傳統的標準版及企業版外，SQL Server ２008 R２新增了Microsoft SQL Server
２008 R２ Datacenter及Microsoft SQL Server ２008 R２ Parallel Data Warehouse
。此中，資料外围版本為一高效力的資訊平台，結合 Windows Server ２008 R２ 可
允許客戶在具備多達 ２56 個邏輯處理器的系統上執行資料庫，而且可轉移到声援
Hyper-V 與 Live Migration 的虛擬資料外围。微軟指出，這將協助企業可轉向虛

微軟暗示，SQL Server ２008 R２ 亦將 SQL Server ２008的能力透過Microsoft SQL

廣雲端資料服務创立新商機。例如近来發表的 Dallas 程式，即屬於採用 Windows
Azure 打造的產品，允許開發人員及使用者存取各種資料及內容
